Mitzvah Ambassadors was pioneered in 2019 by three CTeen Leaders from Illinois, New York, and California. They took it upon themselves to ensure that Jewish girls would be able to do the mitzvah of candle lighting. They went into their public schools across the nation, handing out Shabbat candles and explaining the meaning of this mitzvah.
Mitzvah Ambassadors aims to support and encourage teens to reach out to others and offer them the opportunity to perform mitzvot.
In the past year alone, there have already been hundreds of teens getting involved in the various Mitzvah Ambassador projects. We plan on taking that number and doubling it this upcoming year as more and more teens come on board!
